Reflecting on 2024: A Year of Impact for Kites4Palestine

As 2024 comes to a close, we at Kites4Palestine are taking a moment to reflect on the incredible work we’ve achieved this year. It has been a challenging yet profoundly inspiring year, as we’ve expanded our efforts to support Palestine, build solidarity, and raise critical funds for those affected by the ongoing occupation and conflict.
Throughout the year, we’ve organized and participated in countless events to keep the story of Palestine alive in hearts and minds. Our kite-flying events have been central to this mission, held in major cities across the UK, including London, Birmingham, Manchester, and many more. These events not only brought communities together but also served as a powerful symbol of resilience and solidarity with Palestine. Each kite flown represented hope and remembrance, as we stood in unity with Palestinian cities enduring unimaginable hardship.
Beyond the events, we’ve raised significant funds to support emergency relief efforts for Palestine, working alongside trusted organizations like MATW. Together, we’ve been able to provide aid for vital necessities such as food, medical supplies, and shelter for those in Gaza and other areas deeply affected by the ongoing crisis. We’ve also contributed to Palestinian organizations in the UK, helping to strengthen their work in advocating for justice and supporting their communities.
Kites4Palestine has also played a role in supporting protests across the UK, ensuring that Palestine remains a visible and urgent cause. Whether through displays of our symbolic kites or by collaborating with grassroots movements, we’ve been part of the growing wave of advocacy for justice and freedom for Palestine.
We are incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished this year, but we also know that the work is far from over. As we move into 2025, we are preparing to launch new initiatives that will further our mission of standing with Palestine and creating lasting impact.
